The Urbano Project is looking for community members to perform in a student created dance piece on Saturday, December 10 from 2 to 5pm at Egleston’s Winter Festival. Our performance is about our research on Urbano’s theme of The Other. How do you see yourself in others? How do others see themselves in you? Who do others think you are before they get to know you? How can we imagine a future where no negative experiences of otherness exist?

Black and Brown Gallery 2016| Call for Art

The Urbano Fellows, in collaboration with lead artist Salvador Jimenez-Flores, developed an interactive, multi-purpose, movable sculpture. The Fellows are now transforming this movable sculpture into a gallery that will showcase young artists’ works that speak to the theme “The Commons | The Other.” We are conducting an open call for Boston-based youth artists’ submissions to be exhibited in the Black & Brown Gallery.
