Katie Loughmiller

Katie Loughmiller worked at Urbano in the summer of 2013 as an assistant teacher in the participatory video class. She has many other teaching experiences including a high school theatre workshop in South Africa and an interdisciplinary undergraduate course at Otis College.

Katie is a writer and artist exploring storytelling through video, performance and narrative fiction. She recently completed Master of Fine Arts degree in the Public Practice program at Otis College of Art & Design. At Otis, she had the opportunity to collaborate with the Skid Row performance group, Los Angeles Poverty Department. Prior to completing her MFA, she managed a 285-member coalition and organized high-profile events for the national non-profit organization, Be the Change. Inc.
