Urbano Encounters Poetry Night

Join us for an evening of poetry with performances by Margorie Agosín, Sara Rivera, and Urbano youth artists as part of Urbano Encounters, a Retrospective celebrating Urbano's 8 year anniversary.

Marjorie Agosín is a poet, human rights activist and literary critic. Her work inspired by the theme of social justice and the pursuit of remembrance and the memorialization of traumatic historical events both in the Americas and in Europe.

Sara Rivera is an interdisciplinary artist and writer from Albuquerque, New Mexico who shares a five year history with Urbano as a teaching artist. She's led projects, New Literary City, The Portrait Gift, Searching Lines and Intersections.
